11 Ways You’re Blocking Your Blessings and How to Unblock Them – Part 5 of 5

Welcome to Part 5, the final part in the series of unpacking and getting past the 11 ways you may be blocking your blessings. If you haven’t read the first 4 installments, you will want to do so first. You can start at Part 1 here.

We’ve been breaking down in detail the hindrances God showed me that keep us from receiving all of His blessings. If you recall, this came out of a powerful encounter with the Lord where He spoke to me: “Let Me adorn your life. Let Me adorn you!”

In Part 5 of this series, I’ll discuss the final 2 hindrances that cause us to miss out on God’s blessings and how to overcome them.

Remember, we always start from the place that it was God’s idea to bless His kids. We also start at the foundation that He’s infinitely good and knows how to lavishly bless His kids without “spoiling” their character.

Hindrance #10: Overcoming Confusion and Feeling Overwhelmed

Do you just have no clue?

This baffled voice says something like, “I’m just so confused and overwhelmed!”

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV) tells us that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace and harmony. He’s the One who brings clarity – peace and perspective in the eye of the storm!

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) admonishes us in the chaos of our minds and lives to:

Be still, and know that I am God.

In the trials that overwhelm and confuse we can retreat to the understanding that God always causes us to triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). This is because God is Love. And Love never fails (1 John 4:8, 16; 1 Corinthians 13:8a).

My suggestion:

Retreat back to Love. What does that mean?

Christ is in you and one with you. This means you can connect with Him by asking for Him to activate your spiritual senses (Ephesians 1:17-21). He is Love. In the place of your union with Him, there is no fear (1 John 4:18) – there is peace and there is clarity (Isaiah 9:6, Ephesians 1:17-21). As you practice connecting with Him (practicing His Presence), you’ll recognize that He’s huge – vastly greater than all the mess. You’ll increasingly recognize and experience Him as Love. You’ll know He’s good. You’re safe in Him and you’ll know He’s taking care of you and leading you. This is where peace passes understanding (Philippians 4:6-8) because Love is the Lord of peace (Isaiah 9:6). If you need help with this, I highly recommend diving into my book, “Marked by Love”.

Hindrance #11: Overcoming Feeling Beaten Down and Weary

Do you just feel beaten down, like you have nothing left? The wiped-out voice says something like, “I am spent. I have nothing left!”

Well, you may not have anything left, but God has more than you will ever need.

Romans 8:26, 28 (TPT) says:

26 And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness…

28 So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

Psalm 84:5-7 (AMPC) says that gleaning strength from God causes you to go from the place of weeping and move forward from strength to strength.

Isaiah 40:29-31 (VOICE) says:

29 God strengthens the weary and gives vitality to those worn down by age and care.

30 Young people will get tired; strapping young men will stumble and fall.

31 But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength.

They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded, never weary.

  They’ll walk—never tired, never faint.

My suggestion is similar to #10:

Retreat back to Love. Drop back to the place of being a dependent child whose parent takes care of them. You don’t have to figure it out and you don’t have to work anything up! You can simply entrust yourself to the One Who loved you and gave Himself up for you. Use His faith, recognizing that He dispenses His life into yours (Galatians 2:20, TPT, Hebrews 12:2)!

And, so we are back to the beginning. Isn’t it amazing how Love does that?!

Our foundation verse in this series is Matthew 10:14 (TPT)

When Jesus saw what was happening, he became indignant with his disciples and said to them, “Let all the little children come to me and never hinder them! Don’t you know that God’s kingdom realm exists for such as these?

The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to God’s kids who receive like little children. Moreover, He’s emphatically the One who helps you enter the place of resting with child-like faith.

Remember, God said, “Let Me adorn your life. Let Me adorn you!”

Are you ready to let Him adorn you?

I trust this has brought huge freedom and help! If you’re needing more help or just want to run with this, I highly recommend diving into my book, “Marked by Love” or going back into the exercises with a fresh heart to receive. There’s an anointing on it to help you practice connecting with and receiving from Him in greater and new ways, as well as to heal the places in your heart that struggle connecting with and receiving from Him. Here’s the link to get your copy.

I am so glad you’re joining me on this journey!

I am believing for amazing fruit in your life!  As it comes, please share YOUR testimony about how Love is adorning your life!

Love,

Catherine
