Throughout this series, I have been exploring our birthright for renewal, strengthening, and upgrades and giving you keys to experience that for yourself. We will wrap up today with the final 3 keys.
For review, here are the 9 keys:
Key #1:
We can remind ourselves that all renewing and strengthening comes from one Source: God Himself. He is happy when we partake of Him.
Key #2:
We can remind ourselves that we are not separate from God in any way. This is by His choice and His work before creation and in the cross – not our works.
Key #3:
We are to remind ourselves that we are completely new, clean, and without spot or blemish. We are powerful and beautiful and utterly accepted and chosen by the Father. This reality helps us to receive boldly.
Key #4:
We can look at unseen Truth in the spiritual realm that is meant to manifest in the seen realm around us, right now.
Key #5:
We can meditate on positive things, full of possibility, and what we can build upon.
Key #6:
We can keep looking at Jesus and rest in His faith while standing for refreshing and renewal to be made tangible in the physical realm.
Key #7:
We get to receive Holy Spirit’s help to convince us of what is ours in being renewed, strengthened and upgraded – to embrace it, and not let it go.
Key #8:
We get to practice spending time communing with the Lover of our souls, practicing His presence – there is massive renewal in God’s Presence!
Key #9:
We get to be led by the Spirit with how to practically be refreshed, restored, rejuvenated and renewed during the season we are in. (For example, listening and responding when He invites us to stay in for the night, or when He invites us to eat clean for the day).
I will pick up with Key #7 where I left off.
Key #7: Receive Help from Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit is a such an amazing Member of the Godhead! The Trinity is One, but Holy Spirit has a breathtaking job description. John 14:26 (AMPC) brings this out so well:
26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
He comforts, counsels, helps, intercedes, advocates, strengthens and stands by. He teaches and brings to remembrance. John 15:26 says He testifies of Jesus. John 16:7 brings out the close fellowship He has with us. He is Love (1 John 4:8, 16)! And Love loves to help and all the rest of His job description because He is wild about His kids!
What do we need help with?
EVERYTHING!
Jesus said apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). We were created for glorious dependency upon God Who is endlessly faithful!
For today’s purpose, we specifically need Holy Spirit’s help to convince us of what is ours in being renewed, strengthened and upgraded. We need His help to look unto Jesus and use His faith to embrace it. We also need His help to receive our birthright of renewal, strengthening, and upgrades.
God is happiest when we partake of Him and His goodness the most (2 Peter 1:3-4, John 15:5). And we need supernatural help to do so.
Key #8: Practicing the Presence of God
Intimacy with God is where massive renewal, strengthening, and upgrades are released. I can only touch upon this here because there is so much in Scripture about this principle!
Psalm 23:2-3 (TPT) says:
2 He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love.[a]
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.[b]
3 That’s where he restores and revives my life.[c]
Wow! Let that sink in!!!
2 Corinthians 3:18 (TPT) brings out the link between intimacy and personal transformation:
18 We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
As we gaze and engage with Christ, we are literally transfigured from one degree of glory to the next. It really is mind-blowing!
Intimacy with God can be practiced and cultivated. This has transformed my life! Pretty much everything I write or speak about involves intimacy with God! If you need help or are just hungry to grow in your intimacy with God, my book “Marked by Love” is for you! Key #9: Being Led by Holy Spirit
Romans 8:13-15 (TPT) says:
14 The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.
We are dependent upon Holy Spirit for how to practically be refreshed, restored, rejuvenated and renewed during the season we are in.
Sometimes this involves certain disciplines, exercises, hobbies, changes of scenery, or vocations. What used to work in one season may not work in the next. However, cultivating intimacy with God always works. He leads you in what to do, how to do it and where to go. And you simply bring the awareness of His presence with you in whatever you do and wherever you go.
God knows what will refresh, renew, delight, heal and satisfy.
I love Psalm 107 (KJV), which says:
8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
It just makes me happy – renewed, strengthened and upgraded!
These keys will help you receive the renewal of God that He longs to give! It was my joy to share a few keys I have discovered through my journey, but there are many more! I challenge you to find what works well for you.
I hope this series has been a huge blessing!
Let me know how it has impacted you!
And I hope you have the most joyous of Christmas seasons and prosperous of New Years! I am grateful for you!
Love,
Catherine
Are you talking about a reply from me? I just responded to your questions. We can talk more privately as we need.
OK, sometimes when I forget what I was wanting to say or ask, I ask Holy Spirit to remind me and He does!
