Dear one, have you ever looked at your life—your mistakes, your wounds, your weariness—and whispered, “Surely God’s done with me”?
I have.
And yet, in that very place of self-condemnation, I heard Him whisper back, “You ravish My heart.”
Those four words changed everything.
You see, we’ve been taught to view God as distant, disappointed, and easily offended. But Love doesn’t run from you. Love runs toward you—especially in your mess.
When you believe you’re disqualified, heaven leans in with compassion. Papa, Jesus, and Holy Spirit look at you—not with disgust—but with divine delight. You enthrall Them. You were made for Love, and there is nothing you can do to stop being loved.
Let’s breathe that in together for a moment.
You have ravished My heart, My sister, My bride; you have ravished My heart with one glance of your eyes. — Song of Solomon 4:9, NKJV
That’s not poetic exaggeration. That’s God’s Word about you.
The Lie of Disqualification
Shame is one of the enemy’s cruelest tools. It whispers: “You’ve gone too far. You should be further along. God might love you in theory, but not in reality.”
Beloved, that’s not the voice of your Father.
He’s not calculating your worth based on performance. The Cross already settled your value once and for all. You ravish God’s heart because He handcrafted you in His image. You don’t have the power to undo divine design.
Let the King be enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord. — Psalm 45:11, NIV
Even in your tears, even when you’ve lost your way, He looks at you and sees His reflection—radiant, holy, beloved.
So, when your inner critic says, “I’m disqualified,” pause. Picture Jesus looking at you with tender eyes, asking, “Who told you that?”
The truth is—Love finished what you keep trying to fix.
The Divine Delight You Can’t Earn (or Lose)
Religion teaches us to strive for God’s approval. But grace invites us to rest in His affection.
You cannot make God love you more by doing better. You cannot make Him love you less by failing.
You ravish God’s heart simply because you exist in His image.
Before you did anything to impress Him—or disappoint Him—He already adored you. This is not permissive grace; it’s transforming grace. When you truly know you’re loved, sin loses its power and shame loses its voice.
This love of Christ is beyond measurement and transcends our understanding—so that you may be filled to overflowing with the fullness of God. — Ephesians 3:19, TPT
This isn’t abstract theology. It’s personal encounter. Love Himself wants to make His home in your heart until your inner being is flooded with divine power.
This is spiritual healing—being restored to your true identity in Christ.
The Passion That Restores
In a recent Perspectives with Catherine Toon episode, Reigniting Your Passion, I shared how God’s passion is holy, fierce, and healing. His love burns away every lie that tells you you’re less than His delight.
Love’s passion is protective, not predatory. It’s the fire that melts shame and awakens glory.
When you lean into His heart, you begin to feel again. Hope rises. Joy returns. You start to see yourself the way He always has: blameless, luminous, and alive with divine purpose.
That’s what I call spiritual transformation—not behavior modification, but identity restoration.

When Wilderness Feels Like Failure
If you feel spiritually dry, beloved, it doesn’t mean you’re failing. Wilderness is not punishment; it’s preparation.
It’s the sacred space where you discover that Love still holds you when you can’t hold yourself. It’s where striving dies and surrender blooms.
You ravish God’s heart even in the wilderness. The desert doesn’t disqualify you—it deepens you.
In Marked by Love, I wrote about how we were created from Love, for Love, and to be loved. God’s love doesn’t merely tolerate us; it transforms us. When you see your wilderness through that lens, the barren ground becomes holy ground.
So, next time you feel stuck, whisper, “Jesus, I lean on You. Let Your passion reignite mine.”
It is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good pleasure. — Philippians 2:13, NIV
Even your desire to love Him back is His work in you.

Made for Love
Let’s say this plainly: You were made for Love.
Before the foundation of the world, you existed in the heart of the Trinity—immersed in mutual delight, radiant joy, and divine communion. You were dreamed up by Love Himself.
This is why nothing else satisfies. You can achieve, accumulate, or distract yourself—but until you live from Love, your soul will ache for home.
You were never meant to earn love, only to experience it. And when you do, life makes sense again.
We love because He first loved us. — 1 John 4:19, ESV
That’s not just a sweet verse—it’s your spiritual DNA.
You were created to be the object of divine affection and the vessel of divine expression. You ravish God’s heart because you look like your Papa.
And the more you see who you are in Him, the more naturally you love others. That’s the miracle of your identity in Christ—you don’t strive to love; you overflow with it.
How to Receive What You Already Have
You don’t need to earn your way back into Love’s arms; you simply need to rest in what’s already true.
Here’s a simple practice:
1️⃣ Be still. Take a slow, deep breath. Imagine sitting in Papa’s lap.
2️⃣ Ask: “How do You see me right now?”
3️⃣ Listen: The first whisper of delight—that’s Him. His voice will always affirm your worth and identity in Christ.
4️⃣ Agree: Speak back the truth of what He just said.
5️⃣ Receive: Let the warmth of His presence heal every accusation and fear.
This is hearing from God—not through striving, but through surrender. The more you listen to Love, the more your heart awakens to who you’ve always been.
Breaking the Cycle of Shame
Many of us live as if we have to audition for God’s affection. We punish ourselves for not being “spiritual enough.”
But hear this clearly: there is no condemnation left in God’s vocabulary toward you.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. — Romans 8:1, NASB
Jesus didn’t die to make you lovable; He died to reveal that you already are.
Every time you shrink back in shame, imagine Him lifting your chin, locking eyes with you, and smiling: “You ravish My heart.”
That’s the moment healing begins. That’s when spiritual healing turns into emotional freedom.

What Love Finished, You Can’t Undo
Let me be pastoral and prophetic here: stop trying to earn what’s already yours.
You can’t disqualify what Jesus qualified. You can’t unfinish what He finished.
Grace doesn’t lower the bar; it removes the measuring stick.
When you live from union instead of separation, even your broken places become altars of beauty. You ravish God’s heart, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re His.
Live Loved—Because You Are
Dear one, if you could see yourself the way heaven does, shame would melt instantly.
You enthrall Him.
You delight Him.
You were made for Love.
You are His joy and His crown.
This is your why. Your reason for being. The true gospel is not a list of demands but a declaration of delight.
So when life feels dark, when passion fades, whisper this truth: “I am my Beloved’s, and His desire is for me.” (Song 7:10)
That’s not arrogance—it’s agreement.
