Who Gets the Last Word?

Who Gets the Last Word?

If you have been around the church world for any length of time, you are well acquainted with Jesus as the Word, the Way, Truth and the Life (John 1:1, John 14:6).  As a matter of fact, Jesus said the words that He spoke are spirit and life  (John 6:63). The enemy of our souls has a big fat mouth. He is a liar and the father of lies and there is no truth in him (John 8:44). But let’s be clear – the demonic is speaking and speaking very loudly. You only have to look around and you can see ugliness, violence, all the destructive “isms” that divide and destroy. He has got to get “in your face” as much as he can to get you to agree with and be impressed with his ability to kill, steal and destroy. That is his only avenue to do so. He needs your agreement to empower him.

The Word of God says that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:8). Guess Who perfect Love is?  That’s right, God’s Love.  God does not tolerate fear! Fear connects us to the power of the enemy to kill, steal and destroy. Faith is confidence in God or His life and abundance being revealed in your life. And guess what? THAT faith works by Love. Actually scripture says that it is faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love (Galatians  5:6-7, AMPC). Love activates, energizes, expresses and is the conduit of faith. He is totally confident in His ability to put you over!

When we look to ourselves and try to drum up faith, we run amok. We get exhausted. We do not get results. And we get discouraged and defeated. We were made to be dependent on the One Who is the Source of all good things (James 1:17). We were made to be dependent upon Love. And yay – guess what – Love never fails!

1 Corinthains 13:7-8 (AMPC) says:

7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. 8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

Love also said in Hebrews 13:5b (AMPC)

…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

Wow! Love has you so covered, you cannot loose for winning! Love TOTALLY gets to have the last word. The question is are you going to agree with Him?

I encourage you to really mediate on all these things. If you want more, let me recommend my “Marked By Love” book. You can get a free chapter download when you click here.

Let  Love have and be the last word!
